Join us for the 6th (almost) Annual Great Solar Cookout, Saturday, May 7, 2016 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Daley Park, Tempe (off College Ave, just south of ASU)
Recreation Fields by the Student Rec. Center-North of Apache. See map.
8:30 to 10 a.m. set up (if you have a cooker, try and get there by 9:30 a.m.)
SCHEDULE:
10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. Solar Oven Building 101 (campaign sign cookers with 2 oven bags plus oven thermometer, total $15.)
Solar Cooking 101--Solar Chefs will be near their ovens and able to give you a hands on look. Make a solar cooker and we'll have some food so you can try it out immediately!

Do It Yourself Cost with donated signs $10 and they work fabulously. Use at home or take camping. For $5 more add an oven thermometer. Cinamon Rolls made from scratch cooking above. Very little these ovens can't do.
Cardboard Cooker (plans are here--requires a square box or cutting a box in half and then trimming ..We now focus on campaign sign cookers-but sill have a few square boxes. Contact us to get one.

Saturday April 14, 2014 ASU-Recreation Fields (by Student Rec Center) ) Enjoy food prepared by the sun (Try out solar oven cuisine.) Eat anytime from 11 a.m. on! (Bring fresh fruits and vegetables grown in Arizona sunshine.) Make a solar oven and try it out! (kits, $15 with thermometer) 9:00 a.m. Solar Ovens start cooking!
