Great Solar Cookout, Saturday, April 21, 2012.

Location! Daley Park (just south of the RR tracks off College between Apache and Broadway in Tempe--just south of ASU)

8 to 10 a.m. set up (if you have a cooker, try and get there by 9:30 a.m.)

SCHEDULE:

10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon Solar Oven Building 101 (card board and campaign sign cookers-they both work! We'll have ones in use. Card board cookers are $10 with thermometer & oven bag and Campaign cookers are $15 with thermometer & oven bag)

10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Solar Cooking 101: Meet at the Parabolic cooker for a hands on work with solar cooking (possibly in the oven you just made!)

Noon until 1 p.m. Steel Drum Band

1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Story Telling About the Earth

 

Food starts to be served around 11:30 a.m.

Even winds down around 2 p.m.
